Bulwark De Feuer

At the center of a massive lake is a single island, upon which Bulwark De Feuer is built. All harsh angles and spinning wheels, the city is an architectural masterpiece, filtering rain and lake water down the roofs in sheets that keep it purified and constantly accessible. The purpose of this is double; the small wheels catch and turn in the constant flow of water, generating power to light and move the machines of the city. While the other Kings find the city a strike against nature, King Darius delights in it.

While there are no actual districts in the city, there are several landmarks which everyone will see in passing. From afar, the first item you will see is the high tower—referred to as the Skaparentorn—in which the King keeps his vigilant watch over the city. Crafted of a magnificent grey stone, it’s open top holds a view which few have ever seen, and during storms it conducts lightning into a deadly point.

In order to get to the island itself, a pair of ferries run constantly, drawn by tireless elemental Hippocamps. These are the very ideal of luxury, comfortable seats and a complete floor dedicated to food and drink. On rare occasions, these stray from their courses, acting as party vessels.

Within the city is one of the largest libraries in the world (accessible to common folk). Its slanted roof directs a constant stream over massive stained-glass windows and into a massive fountain before it. Within is a truly outstanding amount of information—and of course, there is a locked section, within which hides deadly secrets.
